When the Indo-Japanese two-wheeler revolution stormed the Indian market, IM Gears had a very definitive role to play. Approached by TVS Suzuki Ltd to supply precision engine parts, IMG first began with indigenizing various parts. Soon more orders flooded the company and as the relationship solidified, IMG gradually established itself as a Tier 1 supplier to TVS Suzuki, supplying over 50 engine and transmission parts for all models of TVS Suzuki. India's new liberalized economic policy brought in auto majors from around the world, when IM Gears seized the opportunity to once again shift gear and turn to the 4-wheeler market. Delphi Automotive Systems India Ltd, (then a subsidiary of General Motors) chose IMG for the single source supply of axles for their half shaft plant. From axles to CV outers and Tripot outers was one small step and IMG became a 100% supplier for Delphi, and soon after, a Tier 2 vendor to Maruti Suzuki Ltd, General Motors Ltd, Telco and Daewoo.

Finally when Hyundai's second largest manufacturing facility came up in Chennai, IMG was selected for the supply of transmission parts like Gear Shifter Shafts and Rocker Arm Shafts.

The Japanese, the Americans, the Koreans and the Italians... each with their distinctly different work ethic and requirements. IM Gears successful partnerships with these companies stands testimony a high degree of professionalism, offset by the capacity to work smoothly and profitably with organizations in any part of the world.
